Farmington Public School Foundation (“FPSF”) has created this policy to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. The following statement explains our information-gathering and dissemination practices for our website (“Site”) at www.fpsfoundation.org. Throughout this policy, "we," "us," and "our" will mean FPSF. This policy does not apply to the practices of persons or entities that FPSF does not control, manage or employ.

By using the Site, you expressly consent to the use and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any modification to the Privacy Policy will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms. You agree to review the Privacy Policy each time you use the Site so that you are aware of such modifications. 

NOTE TO PARENTS AND CHILDREN

FPSF’s Site is not directed to or intended for children. FPSF does not knowingly collect or post information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with laws protecting the privacy of children. You can visit the Federal Trade Commissions website to learn more about the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE AND PROTECTION

Like most website owners, FPSF receives and records information from your browser in our Site server logs, including your IP or referral address and the page you requested. Aside from this standard tracking data, the only other personal information our Site collects about you is such data as you knowingly provide in one of our on-line forms which may include your name, postal address, zip code, telephone number, organization name, e-mail address, credit card, bank information or billing information.

We work with third parties that provide services to us and we may share your personal information with them to complete those services. Those parties can include but are not limited to donor data management companies, credit card processing companies, website hosting or information technology consulting service providers, security service providers, and application service providers. In addition, your information may be used to contact you with information about how you can further support our efforts. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Additionally, we will only release personal information to another person or company to the extent required to comply with applicable law, respond to governmental inquires or request or comply with valid legal processes. We do not use information obtained on this site for direct marketing purposes. If we share your information for such purpose we will inform you and provide you with an opt-out option, and upon request, a list of all third parties with whom personal information has been shared.

We, and third-parties acting on our behalf, take precautions involving physical, electronic, and managerial controls to protect from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, and alteration any of your personal information in our possession. We, and third-parties acting on our behalf, employ industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer encryption when requesting certain financial personal information from you. We or third-parties acting on our behalf do not, however, use such encryption during your day-to-day use of our website. You should note that the confidentiality of any information transmitted over the Internet cannot be guaranteed.  

TRACKING AND COOKIES

Our Site is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors. Our Site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our sites. The statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. FPSF uses non-identifying cookies to provide easier Site navigation and access to forms. You can still use the Site if your browser is set to reject cookies. Our cookies do not generate personal data, do not read personal data from your machine and are never tied to anything that could be used to identify you.

You should be aware that this Privacy Policy applies only to our Site. Importantly, it does not apply to any other web or other sites to which a link may be provided as part of our website. We cannot control and are not responsible for the actions of third parties operating such sites. You should not take the existence of an affiliation with, or a link from, our Site to any such other site to mean that it has a privacy policy similar to this one. You should review the privacy policy of any such site.

You may not create a link to this Site that incorporates or relies upon, in whole or in part, any content from any page on this Site, or that incorporates any copyrighted or otherwise intellectual property of FPSF without written permission from FPSF.

WHERE FPSF STORES AND MAINTAINS INFORMATION

We maintain the Site in the United States and the Site is not intended to subject FPSF to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States. FPSF does not represent or warrant that the Site, or any part thereof, is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. Those who choose to access the Site do so on their own initiative and at their own risk and are responsible for complying with all local laws, rules and regulations.
